Lazy Keto – Fish & Prawn Cheese Bake

🛒 Ingredients (1–2 serves)

  • 1–2 frozen fish fillets (hōki, barramundi …

  • 1/2–1 cup shelled prawns (optional)
  • 1 batch Lazy Keto No-Roux Cheese Sauce
    (reduce yogurt slightly for fish version)
  • Extra grated cheese (for topping)
  • Paprika (optional)
  • Salt + pepper

🔧 Method

  1. Pre-bake the fish
    Place frozen fish in dish
    Bake at 180°C for 10 minutes
  2. Remove excess liquid
    Drain any water released
  3. Add sauce
    Pour cheese sauce over fish
  4. Add prawns
    Spread evenly
  5. Bake (first stage)
    180°C for 15 minutes
  6. Stir gently
    Keep fish mostly intact
  7. Top and finish
    Add grated cheese + paprika
    Bake another 10–15 minutes

⚠️ Key Tips

  • Always pre-bake fish → prevents watery sauce
  • Use less yogurt → avoids splitting with seafood
  • Don’t over-stir → fish will break apart

🔄 Variations

  • Add lemon zest before final bake
  • Add herbs (parsley, dill)
  • Add butter on top for richer finish
